This started with my mom — and my dad.
A few years ago my mom — in her 70s — broke her ankle and her knee. She needed real help: rides to doctor appointments, someone to steady her wheelchair, someone patient enough to wait while she got settled with her walker. Her insurance didn't cover it. Family couldn't always be there. Ride-share apps weren't built for this.
Before that, my dad spent his retirement driving seniors to dialysis and physical therapy for a local senior alliance. He had regular passengers, regular routes, and a real relationship with each person. He wasn't just a driver — he was a familiar, caring face they could count on.
CaringDrivers exists to bring that back. We connect people who need a steady, caring hand with people who genuinely want to help — and we'll either bring our car, or drive yours.
